Take On A Family Tree
My SIL came up with the general idea and I made it with my own spin. On a 16x20 canvas, painted with acrylics and leaves made from quality scrapbook papers, and some adorable little scrapbook frames. It was fun to make because I made it as a gift and I enjoyed being creative. I tried to make it go with her color schemes.

Weekend Work
Well, I had a very productive weekend. I was able to complete 5 frames and I think they turned out cute, if I do say so. :)
I used all purpose acrylic paints, pre-painted animals and objects and painted a the flower designs myself. Frames are made of wood or pressed wood and will have an added attachment put on the back so that they can hang on the wall.
I will feature at least some of these on my etsy account. Please look to the right of my blog for a linky. Thank you.
*I know the pics aren't great but, it's what I have right now*

New project
My daughter's birthday was the 26th of December and we will be doing her party soon. I bought this table and chair set from Ikea. I thought it may be a little more finished but, nope. I already wanted to paint a little something to personalize it for her. Now I'm gonna have to figure that out! I may go with flowers or cupcakes. not sure. I'm not really a drawer or a painter but, I like to try! Pics of the painting as it comes!

It's Finished!- Cherry Blossom Spring
I finished it today. Although I posted both of these posts on the same day, it was started about two weeks ago and I've been working on it slowly. It's the first of anything like this I've done. I am pleased with how it turned out overall!

Something I'm working on
I wanted to do cherry blossoms since they're one of my favorite flowers. I wanted it clean and I'm not really a painter so I did the skeleton of the tree in a black acrylic paint. The blossoms are done by making a pattern and then tracing and hand cutting each of them out from acrylic felt. Once they were cut, I've been doing a stem stitch and french knot stitch for the stamen in a chocolate embroidery floss. It's not finished yet, I want the blossoms to be abundant when I'm finished.
